Welcome to SMAZ Tours. By booking a tour with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully.

1. Booking & Payment

  • All tours must be reserved in advance through our website or approved booking platforms (Tripadvisor, Viator, etc.).

  • Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.

 

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Full refund for cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled tour.

  • No refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour.

  • If SMAZ Tours must cancel a tour due to weather, trail closures, or safety concerns, you may choose a reschedule or receive a full refund.

 

3. Safety & Fitness Requirements

  • Participants must be in reasonably good health and able to walk on uneven terrain.

  • Proper footwear (closed-toe shoes or hiking boots) is required.

  • SMAZ Tours reserves the right to refuse participation if a guest is unprepared (inappropriate footwear, lack of water, etc.).

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

 

4. What’s Included

  • Guided hike led by a local expert.

  • SMAZ string backpack, bottled water, and snack pack.

  • Educational storytelling about South Mountain’s history, flora, fauna, and culture.

 

5. What’s Not Included

  • Transportation to/from the meeting point (Pima Canyon Trailhead).

  • Additional food, drinks, or personal gear (hat, sunscreen, trekking poles).

  • Gratuities for your guide (optional).

 

6. Assumption of Risk

  • By joining a tour, you acknowledge that hiking involves risks, including slips, falls, wildlife encounters, and exposure to heat/sun.

  • SMAZ Tours is not responsible for personal injury, lost items, or medical expenses incurred during the activity.

  • Guests are required to follow all guide instructions for safety.

 

7. Liability Waiver

  • All participants (or guardians for minors) must sign a liability waiver before the tour begins.

  • By signing, you release SMAZ Tours, its guides, and affiliates from liability for injuries or damages arising from participation.

 

8. Photography & Media

  • SMAZ Tours may take photos or videos during tours for promotional use.

  • If you prefer not to be included, please notify your guide before the tour begins.

 

9. Privacy Policy

  • We respect your privacy. Personal information collected through bookings will never be shared or sold to third parties.

 

10. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
